On September 24, 2021 Lorissa caught a bad case of Covid-19. After battling non-stop fevers at home for a week she was admitted to the hospital with very low oxygen levels. Around the same time J.J. also got hit and after spending some sick days at home he also was admitted into the hospital as his oxygen levels had also dipped and there was no way he could care for himself. They have been toughing it out in the hospital together now for a week and though it looks as though J.J. is almost to the point of going home, the doctor is saying he will have a bit of a road to full recovery. Lorissa's case has been more severe and she is still on a high level of oxygen. It is looking like her recovery will also take a significant amount of time.
J.J. and Lorissa have two beautiful daughters ages 8 and 1. They have been very generously cared for by others during this time their parents have been sick. As well, so many people have offered J.J. and Lorissa words of encouragement and brought meals etc, and they are so thankful for the support they've felt.
As the sick time drags on and with the expectation of it taking a while to recover and get back on their feet, I thought it would be appropriate to help ease the financial burden they will be facing with J.J. not being able to work for these past 2-3 weeks and with the possibility of it being much longer than that. Thank you so much for the prayers and encouragement and helping to carry them through this very difficult time!
