Hello Family and friends. I’m reaching out for help and prayers for our Sister, Laura Melissa Arnstam. We continue to stand strong, united as one body and pray from a place of Victory. My sister gave birth to her beautiful, healthy baby boy, Arrow Nathaniel Arnstam on the 2nd of August 2021. She experienced some complications in her last trimester, during labor and after delivery. The doctors felt it was safe to discharge Laura from the hospital a few days after closely monitoring her. Upon discharge, she contracted COVID and was admitted to St. Luke’s ICU Meridian, ID on Sunday the 8th. Her heart was functioning at about 25% of its normal strength and her medical team felt it was best to air transport her to Intermountain Hospital in Salt Lake City (a specialized heart center). My sister has come a long way, She’s a fighter!! For those that don’t know her extended story …God brought her back from the front lines in Baghdad Iraq, Cured her from Stage 3 cancer Hodgkins lymphoma, blessed her with the miracle of giving birth to four beautiful healthy children: Alex 19, Judah 11, Iris 8 and Arrow 9 days. Laura is an amazing athlete, she’s competed in High School cross country, college and marathons. One of her proudest testimonies is her marriage of 14 years with her husband Zach. They are our Lead pastors of our "Home Church", Zion, Est. December 2018; such a passionate, inspiring and powerful duo. Laura is in the prime of her life and in the biggest race to date. Her heart has trained for this very day. Our father in heaven is not done with her here on earth and she’s meant to run this marathon while shepherding others on how to run long distance in his ministry! We have felt the weight of the storm BUT GOD is still moving, miracles beyond miracles…
Financial Help: My sisters medical interventions, hospital stay, emergency air lift and other necessary expenses have been adding up quickly. My brother-in-law Zach and Mama Lilly are also in Utah by my sisters bedside (meanwhile Arrow has been in the loving care of myself and husband Eric and Tio’s David and Christa have been helping with the care of the children). It’s been beautiful to witness the way Bro Zach has been walking out his vows, with such passion & tenderness. His words of encouragement before arriving to Utah were “I got to give my beautiful wife communion. I thank God for this miracle of access to my bride. I love my precious wife. For better or for worse. And I’m so grateful to have gotten to be near her”. In every area of his life he has always humbly and consistently lead us by example. We honor you Brother/Pastor Zach. Thank you for loving and caring for my sister the way you do.
Prayers: And most of all we are asking you to stand strong with us in prayer and help spread the word to others to partner with us as we cheer Laura on. We pray from a posture of Victory, not fear. Here’s one miracle we’d like to share with you and give God Glory - Miracle Tuesday morning 8/10: While Laura’s medical team was preparing her for a three hour surgery to implant an impella device to assist the left side of her heart, her team decided to tweek some of her cardiac medications and she responded in a positive way! Her heart began beating a little stronger. As a result of that improvement they are staying the course with ECMO and holding off on the impella for now. Every moment is critical and to see how far sister has come is nothing short of a miracle. We will continue to rejoice in every victory. We praise you, Jehova-rapha (The Lord who Heals you)!! Hallelujah!!
THANK YOU: Thank you in advance for your YES; your “5 loaves and 2 fish” as Sis likes to say (however you’re able to help God can always multiply). Thank you to our beautiful IdaHome community, families in CA and beyond! Your faithful prayers, warm meals, groceries and overwhelming love has filled our hearts to overflowing. As I’ve personally witness my sister faithfully, diligently and so graciously carry her family and community, it’s been an honor to partner with our Lord to help carry her the rest of the way. Jesus wins every time! With Love and Honor on behalf of Sister Laura and Family❤️
