We lost a member of our patriot family last night, David Weakley. After a long and hard fought battle due to complications with Covid-19, David passed away just before midnight on September 4, 2021, exactly one month after being admitted to the hospital. He leaves behind his wife, Missy Reeh-Weakley and their son, James, who turns 15 on September 6. They are devastated.
David, Missy, and James are a family who believe strongly in the principle of individual liberty; they also know that God's timing is perfect and that David is with our Lord and he is at peace. Missy and James will continue to defend constitutional liberty, as David would have wanted.
When we asked Missy what we could do to help, she told us that it has been a very difficult two months, including financially. She explained that in July, after receiving threats and persecution for their political activism, David and Missy chose to move from their home in West Lake Tawokoni to Commerce. Their family was still in the middle of that move when they all got sick. Once Missy and James were better, and David was in the hospital, they were able to finalize their move in August, but this meant the family paid double rent for two months for a move that was delayed because of their illness. The financial strain from their move and paying double rent for two months, will make it more difficult to cover funeral expenses.
When we heard about this financial struggle, we knew that we could help. The family needs our love, our support, and our prayers, but for those who can ease the financial strain of David's death, during an already challenging time, we ask that you give what you can to help pay for his end of life arrangements.
It will help this patriot family greatly, during their time in need, and it will help honor David, and his meaningful contribution to our liberty movement here in Texas.
David was a good man. He did good work here on earth. We love and we honor him, and we stand strong in our support for Missy and James.
