Update #3 Happy New Year - "2020 is the Year of Perfected Vision and Harvest"
January 13, 2020
Happy New Year, family!
Thanks for your continued support of the ongoing renovation of our new building. We have ordered our replacement 7.5 ton A/C units for our proposed sanctuary to be installed in a couple of weeks. The electrical, plumbing and mechanical drawing have been submitted to the City of Houston awaiting approval. Please, continue to pay your pledges to help us complete this project as soon as possible. We are excited about what the Lord is doing with our growing ministry. Let's keep all the contractors in our prayers.
In His Service,
Pastor Akin Bandele
Update #2
December 7, 2019
Thanks to ALL of you who have been so faithful in contributing to our Building Renovation Campaign. We are very close to finishing the layout, plumbing, electrical and mechanical drawing. As soon as they are completed, we will ask the architect to submit to the City of Houston for approval.
We are almost finished with walls and ceilings demolition. We are also working on purchasing two 7.5 ton A/C to replace the old 4 ton units. Help us share the good news as we race to getting the building completed in a few months.
Update #1
September 14, 2019
Praise the Lord!!! We closed on September 3, 2019 on the purchase of our very first church building after 17 years in ministry. During the entire 60-day transaction, we fasted, prayed, raised funds and believed God for His favor. Our church was denied by 12 different banks before finally getting approved by BancorpSouth Bank. Each time we heard NO, Jesus said YES to our faith and persistence. Our faithful church family and friends kept the faith and HOPE alive. We just started our RENOVATION this week of September 9, 2019 and believing God for the rest of our renovation funds.
Thanks to our Board Members, Elders and ALL our New Covenant Tabernacle family and friends who have supported us since September 1, 2012. Special THANKS to ALL our Pastor friends for your prayers and donations; our Covenant Partners who have donated $1,000+ in this capital campaign; Pastors Kirbyjon and Suzette Caldwell for their love and support; and J.Otis Mitchell (our friend and accountant) who worked tirelessly to prepare our loan package.
A big THANK YOU to my best friend and brother Afisu Olabimtan for his encouragement, support and generosity. THE BEST IS YET TO COME AS WE START THE RENOVATION PROCESS.
