Update: My employer has decided to not pay out PTO and was late on paying (and didn't pay full amount) my last paycheck. Bills are due, I have been applying but haven't found a new job. ANY help would be appreciated. Please and thank you.

I’m reaching out today with a heart full of hope but a reality that has hit immediately. My family has been navigating some tight corners lately, and we’ve recently hit a stretch where the road got bumpier than expected. After hanging in there for a year and half of what was supposed to be a temporary but significant pay cut, I was unfortunately let go from my job. While I’m already looking for a new job, being between paychecks right now has put us in a difficult spot. We’ve always been a family has had faith in God when it comes to roadblocks, but this sudden transition has created a gap that has made me throw any pride aside and ask for help.

Our son is just about to graduate from high school (homeschooled every year), and we couldn't be prouder of the hard work he’s put in. This milestone is huge for us because, once he graduates, my wife is able to re-enter the workforce as well. We have a solid plan and a bright future ahead, but we’re facing a short window where we need to cover the essentials like rent, bills and groceries until those new roles begin. Note: I was hoping for severance pay to come through but my former employer has become non-responsive. I was only given the reason "going in a different direction" when I was laid off.
