Matt, how do we even begin to say goodbye? A father, husband, son, brother, uncle, firefighter… and friend. You were taken from us unexpectedly, and now we find ourselves in a place of grief, unsure of how to navigate this loss.
As a family, we are rallying around Kristy and the kids with love and support, though we know there is no easy way to help them heal.
Kristy will have a lot on her plate as she navigates the teenage years of Bryn and Steely and tries to guide them the best she can into young adulthood, while making sure she meets the needs of Julius, who requires special educational needs and special medical needs.
Moving forward without health insurance is a burden, but it pales in comparison to the emotional needs she must meet of three mourning children. We ask that you please keep Kristy, Bryn, Steely, and Julius in your prayers—through Masses, rosaries, and any other spiritual support you can offer. And if you are able, please consider making a donation to help ease the financial strain that awaits them.
Matt served his community with such grace and generosity. By offering your prayers and donations, we can honor his memory and the legacy of love he leaves behind as a father, husband, and friend.

I never met Matt, but saw him and his beautiful family at St Teresa’s the few times I attended 4pm mass there. After reading his obituary, I discovered what an amazing man he was and how he was so very blessed. May God be with you in your time of loss.
Sending prayers to your family.
