Rev. Carl Swearson passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 16, 2024 due to heart complications while undergoing treatment for recently diagnosed cancer.
He leaves behind a deeply grieving family, including his wife of 42 years (Georgianna), his 5 children (Bennett, Helen, Joseph, Daniel, and Samuel), and 2 grandchildren (Kaia and Blake).
He was a central pillar not only to his immediate family, but to his church and surrounding community in the Greater St. Louis area, the state of Iowa, and Midwest at large for several decades, with his absence leaving an unmistakable void to all who knew him.
The family is burdened with the combination of medical bills and funeral expenses, with his wife in particular having to deal the loss of income while already having to continually delay retirement in order just to get by in today's challenging economy.
Any support at all, financial and especially prayer, would be invaluable in navigating through these trying times. Thank you so much for taking the time to consider this campaign.
Thank you for initiating summer camps in the Midwest. I gained more than I could ever imagine at those camps. Sending thoughts & prayers 🙏
