To everyone that has already donated to our cause thank you so very much for your donation. Your money went towards taking him to GA 5 days a week, buying supplements and barely keeping the car on the road to do these things. Joe passed on to his next life Monday, September 9, 2024 around 3 PM, he was here at home with me where he wanted to be.
I need to get my car fixed it is a 2000 Honda Accord EX with a manual transmission. The clutch is slipping, it needs a new windshield, brakes and rotors all around, a new speed sensor, new tires, an alignment, an oil change, and the trunk needs to be fixed so that it will open and close easily. The trunk does not open at all now. I'm not sure when the timing belt and water pump were last changed but I know from experience that if it doesn't get changed every 90,000 miles that it will ruin the entire engine. I know my car is old and has many problems however I cannot buy a new one anytime soon. I have to go back to work as I have no income at all and I spent the last 2.5 years taking care of Joe. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I've been alone in my entire life. I promised Joe I would not stay in Tennessee alone that I would go first to Florida where my closest relative is and then make my way to California to our daughter and grandsons.
Joe's cremation was paid in full yesterday and I have no idea who paid for it. I cannot thank this person enough to be able to bring him back home means more to me than anyone can ever know. Thank you so much.
I will miss my friend! Thoughts and prayers for the family

Dear Joe and family. I hope this little bit helps. My husband went thru this 6 years ago and since then I have researched and wish we had him try turkey tail mushroom. It is easy to identify and grows prolifically all over US. Robert Rogers wrote The Fungal Pharmacy, The complete guide to Medicinal Musrooms & Lichens of North America. The Japanese researchers demonstrated its efficacy.

Someone paid the bill at the funeral home yesterday I don't know who it was so I can't send them a proper thank you.
To the person that paid the bill Thank you so much you have no idea what it means to me to be able to bring him back home. I will be scattering some of his ashes. Some of his ashes will be given to friends and family and the ashes that are left will stay with me. When I pass away I will be cremated and the ashes that are left are to be cremated with me so that we will always be together. Thank you so much for the help you have given to both of us.

Joe passed away on September 9, 2024. I have tried to unpublish this campaign and open a new one because most of the money earned from thin account went towards Joe's care. Gas for doctor appointments, co-pays, and medications.

Hello everyone Joe passed on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was fresh out of the hospital where he had received 5 pints of blood. I still have the give send go account up but I'm not trying to buy an RV I'm trying to pay for Joes funeral have some work done to my car and I will have to move as the apartments we live in are for veterans only. Thank you all for your help. You will never know how much it meant to him and means to me. I keep all of you in my prayers.

Joe went to see Dr. Dobbs in July we were told that there were no new tumors and only minimal growth in the lymph nodes that had tumors in them. Joe complained of constipation, that when he did have a bowel movement it was black and tarry, and a severe lack of energy. Dr. Dobbs told him to take milk of magnesia. Finally Joe agreed to go to the ER where they gave him three units of blood he then went to see a surgeon that specializes in the upper and lower GI tract. The GI doctor found two new tumors one at the bottom of his esophagus and one at the top of his stomach. Two weeks after the first transfusion Joe had to have a second one where he received two more units of blood. Joe went and saw Dr Hannah at UT Medical Center last week who told him that the chemotherapy Dr. Dobbs stopped had been shrinking the tumors that it was only stopped because Joe had developed neuropathy in his hands and feet. We don't know now if they can restart the chemotherapy as Joe had to have a third blood transfusion last week. Today is August 31, 2024 I will most likely be taking him to the ER again tonight or tomorrow because he is having the same symptoms he has had when he needs a blood transfusion. There is so much Joe wants to do before he dies mostly he wants the RV so he knows that I will always have a place to live; however, I want the RV so that I can take him every where he wants to go and do everything he wants to do especially going to California to see our Grandsons before he passes away. If we are traveling in an RV he can drive when he feels up to it and he can lay down and sleep while I drive. Thank all of you for the help and prayers and know that I keep all of you in my prayers as well.

Joe had no luck getting a second opinion. The day before his appointment the doctors office called and cancelled his appointment. Saying that his referral didn't come through. They told him that we could give them $298.00 and they would see him. So we are back to there is nothing else that can be done for him. In my first update I said it was The Tampa Cancer Institute but that was wrong it is The Florida Cancer Institute. Thanks to all for your prayers and any help you have provided.

First off a big thank you to Chris Jones for letting us stay at his home while Joe sees the Doctors at the Tampa Cancer Institute. Joe is working hard to find alternative treatments since there is no approved treatment for his cancer mutation. I'm with him every step of the way no matter what he decides to do. If we cannot find a cure we are going to live everyday like it is our last day together. Pray for us we have always talked about our 50th anniversary but we still owe each other 17 more years.
