Over the past year we have been challenged as a family: physically, mentally, and spiritually. Knowing that God is good and he will provide has been a cornerstone keeping us pushing forward.

Medical expenses, transportation to treatment, growing debt, and just keeping up with bills has been trying at times; through it all, we have been supported by many. Rides to appointments, meals, care packages and cash gifts have been appreciated.

Bekah’s cancer treatment has caused damage to her heart and we are in the process of applying for disability. We were encouraged to make this fundraiser as a way to let our needs known to our family and friends. It will be several months before disability support will begin.

A quick timeline of our cancer journey. January, Bekah’s stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis. February - June, chemotherapy. May, chemotherapy causes tachycardia, July, double mastectomy and lymph nodes removed. September, 33 radiation treatments. October, orthostatic hypotension* with reactive tachycardia diagnosis. December, preventative surgery, starting new medications to target remaining cancer.

*Orthostatic hypotension is similar to POTS with additional blood pressure issues causing debilitating fatigue and leaving Bekah unfunctional, unable to drive, and able to stand or walk for only a short amount of time.
